An amazing 2,583 profiles were invited to participate in the Ontario Express Entry Draw, which was held on March 1st by the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Programme (OINP).

Highlights:

  1. Selection Criteria: Invitations were sent to people who had been employed in one of the 49 skilled trade occupations and had a valid Express Entry profile created between March 1, 2023, and March 1, 2024, with a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score between 350 and 424.
  2. Stable Cutoff Score: When compared to the January 11 OINP Skilled Trades Stream draw, the cutoff score remained stable.
  3. No Separate Profile Needed: The Express Entry Skilled Trades Stream draw does not require a separate OINP profile, in contrast to certain other streams. All valid profiles have to do is match one of the designated trade vocations.
  4. Points Addition: The candidate’s CRS score is greatly increased by the 600 points the provincial nomination adds to their current Express Entry profile. The invited profiles’ Ontario Express Entry Draw CRS score would increase to between 950 and 1,024 if they accepted the Ontario Provincial Nomination.
  5. Cumulative Invitations: A total of 7,512 profiles have been accepted into the OINP Express Entry | Ontario Express Entry Draw Skilled Trades stream in 2023 thus far.
